由緒

金光教横須賀教会は明治31年(1898年)より開設にに着手、明治34年に当時の大日本帝国神奈川県知事の認可を受けて以来、今日に至るまで百二十余年、大勢の人々の難儀に寄り添い、神前奉仕を続けている由緒ある教派神道の教会です初代教会長 田川達三(たつぞう)

Ceremony to worship Tenchi Kane no Kami-sama, the kami-sama who is the universe and workings of nature
Konko Daijin:
Ceremony to honour Konko Daijin-sama, the kami-sama of toritsugi mediation -
which is to help connect people and Tenchi Kane no Kami-sama
Mitama no Kami:
Ceremony to revere the Mitama no Kami-sama,
the divine spirits of those who have gone before us honoured as kami.

History

Konkokyo Yokosuka Shrine was established in 1898, and was approved by the Governor of Kanagawa Prefecture in the Empire of Japan in 1901. Since then, it has been a long-established Shinto shrine that has been providing support to many people, and offering ceremonies to Kami-sama for over 120 years.
